I don't believe there's any easy solution if you want to play with the bento bones. I think the Blender/Avastar combination might be the only avenue at present. If you're happy being restricted to the standard bones, there's a few other options. You could try Qavimator, it's a dedicated SL animation tool you can download and use for free.
